Founded in 2016 by Geophysical consultants, Gavin Selfe & Bjorn Havemann.

Founded in 2016 by geophysical consultants Gavin Selfe and Bjorn Havemann, GeoFocus is a South African company that offers geophysical consulting services to the mining and exploration industry. In addition to continuing their own work, Selfe and Havemann took over the operations of Engineering & Exploration Geophysical Services (E&EGS), which had been founded by Richard Day and Dirk Stigter in 1994, and both of whom are now associates of GeoFocus. By merging with E&EGS, GeoFocus is able to offer cost-effective solutions across a broad spectrum of industries, combining leading expertise with proven operational capability. GeoFocus further expanded its capabilities in 2022 by acquiring GSS, Geophysical Surveys and Systems, which was started by GeoFocus associate Nevile Brown in 1999.
